Mission
AMANN has been producing high-quality sewing threads and embroidery threads for more than 160 years. The company has not only had to face new technological challenges time and again, the sales structure has also changed: Sales have become more global, the variety of products has grown enormously, yarns are sold directly to production sites or the manufacturer of an end product as well as via agents and other sales channels.
In order to maintain an overview of customers, contacts, products, offers and price approvals, absolute transparency based on a globally standardized database was necessary. As sales, marketing and service work closely together at AMANN, all areas were to be equipped with a solution that always provides all information across departments. Internal communication was also to be improved in order to gain more time for customers.
In order to implement this project quickly and satisfactorily for all parties, the cloud project manager first deliberately focused on the requirements of the specialist departments, developed the necessary functions in joint workshops and decided on a rapid, standard-oriented introduction. The IT department also sought advice and training from project partner SYBIT in order to be able to carry out the international roll-out in a total of 13 countries independently.
