MULTIVAC is a globally active, medium-sized manufacturer of packaging machines for food, life science and healthcare products. In addition to its headquarters in Germany, over 85 subsidiaries in 140 countries produce and sell a wide range of packaging technologies, automation solutions, labeling and quality control systems. An extensive service fleet on all continents of the world ensures that the installed MULTIVAC machines are used to the maximum. Customer management in such an environment is highly complex and interlinked. The company therefore decided to standardize all customer-oriented processes, from sales and commerce to service, with the SAP Customer Experience solutions, thereby taking them to a whole new level. With SYBIT as a partner, the project has become a prime example of future-proof, digital customer processes.

Starting point

An outdated customer portal, an on-premise CRM and an in-house solution in the service area: MULTIVAC's digital infrastructure was working, but was no longer fit for the future. In order to secure its competitiveness and keep its finger on the technological pulse, MULTIVAC decided to move to the cloud. In the service area, the requirements were correspondingly clear: a better connection to mobile devices, more efficient resource planning, optimization of technician deployments and overall leaner and simpler processes. Transparency and efficiency were also at the top of the sales wish list: The sales solution should always be available, the quality of the data should increase and it should be easier to see what opportunities the market is currently offering. In addition, cooperation between sales and service and the back office should be improved. A similar picture emerged in the area of commerce: MULTIVAC wanted to develop further, a cloud product with more interfaces, functionalities and an open infrastructure.

Introduction of SAP CX Sales

Enable the same access to customer data for everyone internally. Create better documentation and transparency. Optimize processes. Increase usability and acceptance. MULTIVAC achieves all this with the new SAP CX Sales solution. It was introduced in the first pilot country in six months together with SYBIT and then rolled out worldwide in several clusters.
