Billions of people come into contact with Bühler technologies every day to meet their basic needs for food and mobility. Around 65 percent of the wheat harvested worldwide is processed into flour on the Swiss company's mills. Millions of people travel every day in vehicles whose parts were produced on Bühler machines. Or they wear glasses, use smartphones and read magazines that were produced using Bühler process technologies and solutions. In short, the family-owned company founded in 1860 with around 12,800 employees is now a globally active hidden champion - especially when it comes to digitalization.

The project

The project is part of Bühler's overarching digitalization strategy. The focus is on the myBühler customer portal, which is intended to be more than just a spare parts store. The vision includes a wide range of features. 

E-commerce

E-commerce is a daily companion in the private sphere. This trend is also becoming increasingly apparent in industry. Bühler's aim was to offer customers optimum service for their individually manufactured machines - a service that they are also familiar with from their private lives. The result:

  • Direct and uncomplicated access to information and documents about machines, parts and the status of quotations and orders
  • High standards of usability and platform design for fast and high customer acceptance
  • Ordering of services and spare parts
  • Integration in SAP ERP, CRM and Catalog Creator
