The original order processing system, which was centrally located at the company's headquarters in Stuttgart, did not provide access for the sales force in Europe and Brazil. Many processes were manual: contracts were sent by post and entered manually by employees. In order to simplify processes and create a clear overview for both office and field staff, a central database was needed that would link sales and technology, provide all information about booked modules transparently and control the activation of services.
Results
- The dealers now enter offers into SAP CRM on a decentralized basis, from where processing is managed centrally.
- SYBIT installed an SAP ERP system with a direct connection to SAP CRM.
- The booked telematics services are configured in SAP ERP.
- The booked services in the vehicles are activated directly via SAP CRM.
- Monthly invoicing is based on the information from SAP CRM.
