The task

Highly differentiated products for various industries such as automotive, aviation or foundries are manufactured using voxeljet's 3D printing systems. Micrometer-precise calculations and suitable materials ensure that the product ultimately fulfills its function reliably. The printing systems are correspondingly complex and consist of many different components. One challenge was to map this diverse product information in the CRM. It was also necessary to make the customer information, which was spread across various folders and files, available to all those responsible. To guarantee smooth service and efficient sales processes, it was therefore important to map a standardized and transparent database in SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer. It should be clear at all times which customers are using which product - including the associated components. To enable cross-selling and upselling measures, service and maintenance services should be visible to both sales and service employees. The digitalization of service processes should reduce service times and simplify internal communication.
